Baťův Zlín mobile app: An interactive guide to the city

Explore the city on a walk through the most important places connected to the Baťa name. Download the Baťův Zlín app and discover Zlín in an interactive way. In addition to interesting information about the city’s history, you can look forward to fun mini-games, a knowledge quiz, augmented reality (AR) features and a photo competition with comic-style Tomáš Baťa.

You can choose from two routes – a relaxing 2 km route (approx. 50 minutes) or a longer 5 km route (approx. 120 minutes). At each stop, a knowledge quiz awaits you, adding variety to the walk and allowing you to actively participate in discovering the city. After completing all the quizzes, you will receive a reward, which you can collect at the end of the walk at the Tourist Information Centre at náměstí Míru.

The app offers a modern and clear interface that is easy to use for all age groups, and thanks to the interactive map you can easily find your way to all the interesting places in the city.

Mini-games and AR experiences that will bring you a lot of fun:

  • AR meeting with Marie Baťová – The wife of Tomáš Baťa will tell you about May Day celebrations in Zlín.
  • Mini-game Baťa’s Thoughts – Take a walk through the garden of T. Baťa’s Villa and be inspired by the thoughts of the great visionary.
  • AR Brachiosaurus – Discover the largest dinosaur of all time at the 14|15 BAŤA INSTITUTE platform. Do not forget to take a photo, because this is an experience you will want to remember!
  • AR meeting with J. A. Baťa – Jan Antonín Baťa will share interesting facts about Zlín, the lift office and the Zlín skyscraper.
  • Mini-game Baťa House – Test your accuracy and speed while building an iconic Baťa house.
  • Mini-game J. A. Baťa’s Lift Office – Collect shoe carts and learn about the concept of the lift office that Jan Antonín Baťa never actually used.
  • AR Junkers F-13ge aircraft – Watch the legendary Junkers F-13ge fly above you, the aircraft in which T. Baťa tragically died.

All mini-games can also be played from the comfort of your home. To activate the AR features, you must be at a specific location.
